Ridley Scott's 'Body of Lies' Gets a Trailer

The international trailer for Body of Lies has just arrived online, and the combo of Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio is enticing to say the least. Based on the novel by David Ignatius (and scripted by The Departed's William Monahan), Body of Lies tells of a former journalist (DiCaprio) who's hired by the CIA to track down an Al Qaeda leader in Jordan. The film was directed by Ridley Scott.
Cinematical's Eugene Novikov recently used Body of Lies as part of his From Page to Screen column, and on the book he says: "Body of Lies, the novel, is pitched as a spy thriller informed by the author's extensive experience in the field and knowledge of the way the CIA really operates. (The back cover offers a fawning quote from former CIA director George Tenet, claiming that the book is "fiction but reads like fact.") It's certainly intelligent, plausible, and sometimes exciting." The trailer seems to focus more on that "sometimes exciting" part, showing DiCaprio in all sorts of iffy situations, while his CIA boss (played by an overweight and somewhat unattractive Russell Crowe) rides his ass until something gives. Body of Lies hits theaters on October 10.

5. I dig what I saw in the trailer. Ridley and Russell are getting better and better, film after film. I am excited to see this film, and Russell,,, he always looks good in my eyes and he sounds great.

6. Looks like another great movie for DiCaprio. I'm so glad that he has lost the boy looks and is now looking like a man ;-) never did get what the fuzz was about before Gangs of New York ;-)

9. From the first time when going through the movie felt it was well made characteristic
Movie based on Leonardo DiCaprio had done his part extremely at his best. Body of Lies has his own vision of explanation. Wonderful to watch till the end unlike other war movies it is running slowly and made it mark with grate peace of directing. My self saw it at http://www.80millionmoviesfree.com

1. Yes I dig it too.
Russell is quite the method actor, isn't he? He seems to have no vanity or worries about looking always the part of the movie star. Bald, pudgy, old, or handsome young and virile... what ever the role requires, he delivers.
If you've read the book, you'll realize he's transformed himself into the very picture of the Hoffman character's description.
